After several months of R&D, our team has developed TOTAL QUARTZ EV FLUID, a highly innovative product for Electric Vehicles that improves both performance and efficiency.

History

TOTAL Lubricants with its R&D team has worked round the clock to develop new fluids that meet the requirements of the latest industrial standards in Electric Vehicles with the following features:

Dielectric property Fluids utilized in Electric Vehicles (EV) must have an electric insulation property to prevent arching, as it runs in close contact with electrical components in EVs. So, despite the harsh operating conditions viz. rising temperature, oxidation, particle abrasion, and overcurrent, these Dielectric properties help fluids remain stable and function as they should.

Material compatibility Our fluids are engineered to work in full contact with the internal components of all Electric Vehicles without any affecting their function. As copper is a key element in many of the components used, our R&D team has developed lubricants with excellent copper compatibility

Thermal properties In an EV, power is derived from an engine operating within a defined temperature range. Operating at a higher temperature outside this range, reduces the vehicle’s life through diminishing efficiency and power. Our fluids therefore ensure efficiency via heat evacuation at temperatures up to 18000C.
