SPIRDANEŽ : The White Spirits

The products in the SPIRDANEŽ aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents range are White Spirit type fluids which can be split into three groups:

 

Traditional White Spirits

This range includes the White Spirit cuts that traditionally serve as solvents or diluents in the following industries : Resins, Paints, Cleaning Products, Vessel Degreasing.

SPIRDANE HT : Excellent solvency power

SPIRDANE K2 : Excellent solvency power with a high flash point

 

SPIRDANEŽ D : the low aromatic range

A range developed in line with TOTAL's commitment to offer products with toxicological and ecotoxicological levels lower than regulatory constraints require.

Spirdane D fluids have a solvency power similar to the "Traditional" SPIRDANE range, but have a very low aromatic content, typically 50 ppm, giving greater flexibility of use in formulations.

The choice of the product depends on the desired flash point :

  • Flash Point 25°C : SPIRDANE L1
  • Flash Point 35°C : SPIRDANE D 30
  • Flash Point 40°C : SPIRDANE D 40
  • Flash Point 62°C : SPIRDANE D 60
  • Flash Point 66°C : SPIRDANE D 66

Narrow Cut SPIRDANE fluids

This range has been specifically designed for the Degreasing Industry and for those applications where a fast evaporation rate is required.

The products have a very low aromatic content (typically 50ppm) and their boiling range (typically 15-20°C) and flash point have been optimised to obtain the fastest evaporation rate.

The choice of the product depends on the desired flash point:

  • Flash Point 35°C : SPIRDANE D 30
  • Flash Point 60°C : SPIRDANE D 60L
