The group believes in supporting the local community in which it operates. In this vein, it tries to support new talent in the iconic sport of cricket through the Total Vengsarkar Cricket Academy.

In line with the global policy of contributing and supporting local community in which it operates, Total Lubricants India Ltd. is committed to develop young aspirants through various programmes in education and sports. With this philosophy in mind the Total Vengsarkar Cricket Academy (TVCA) was established in 1995 with active support from Mr. Dilip Vengsarkar, a well-known cricketer and captain of the Indian team of the yester years.

TVCA yearly coaches and trains over 150 young boys ranging from 11 to 19 years of which few give excellent performance at the domestic tournament organized by the academy. The 2004-2005 team selected by Mumbai Cricket Association has over 50% young cricketers from TVCA. The TVCA approaches various schools to enroll boys, below the age of 13, into the academy. These boys are then coached till they are 19 depending on their performance. The academy is managed by experienced coaches and works in close association with MCA.

In the field of education, the company has started a co-operation with an NGO The French India School of Bombay to sponsor underprivileged students.
